This week I spent a whole day exploring the gorgeous, oh-so-green Monte Plata province for an upcoming article for my publisher Moon Guides. I cooled off in waterfalls and rivers, drove along verdant fields where goats raced each other and horses rested in the shade, breathed in fresh air and soaked in the jungle views. I ooh’d and aah’d and did not want to leave this earthly paradise.

Stay tuned to the blog for news of my article, more images, and a recap video on this spectacular, little-mentioned ecotourism destination in the Dominican Republic.

Update: Watch the recap from my trip to Monte Plata below. For details on the where and how, read my published Monte Plata article for Moon Guides.
