It was a dream ending to 2017 and a magical start to 2018: strolling the brilliant, soft white sand beaches on the easternmost corner of the Samaná Peninsula. Far, far, from the madding crowd (well, at least when you overnight in these parts).

Stay tuned for a blog post recap coming this week on my return trip to Las Galeras, one of my favorite beach villages in the Dominican Republic.

In the meantime, here’s a full clip of my motorbike ride from one end of Playa Rincón all the way to the other. It was even more memorable than cruising its shoreline by boat (which is how most people experience it). Those of you who are up north and freezing your behinds off can thank me later. Wanderlust warning: watching this might just get you booking and packing ASAP.
