Sightseeing in these parts is limited to organized tours and excursions–unless you rent a car and venture about on your own up and own the Punta Cana and Bávaro areas.

Tour companies abound and have similar pricing, offering everything from the typical countryside safari to horseback riding on the beach, catamaran sails, night outings to Coco Bongo Nightclub, and day trips to Isla Saona or Catalina (note: these make for a really long day from Punta Cana/Bávaro, and are more easily accessed from Bayahibe).

If you are based in Bávaro, getting out and about will be easier on foot–the area has a large number of local restaurants within easy access of hotels and apartments.
